I grew up in a small farm town in Northeast Ohio. My father is a drummer and my mother played the piano so I had an interest in music at a very young age. I first started playing the guitar at the age of 10, taking inspiration from classic rock and 90s grunge bands. In high school I discovered EDM and Dubstep producers such as Deadmau5 and Skrillex that inspired me to start learning music production on programs such as Garageband, Logic and Ableton. It wasn’t until I enrolled at Arizona State University that I began to discover a multitude of different Hip-hop genres and producers like Flying Lotus, Baths, Shigeto and Swum. From there I started releasing and performing my blend of Lo-fi Hip-Hop and guitar riffs under the moniker “Paklite”. My live set includes the use of Ableton live and my guitar bringing an element of improvisation to my DJ sets. I consistently perform around the Valley in Arizona, opening for acts such as Korey Wade and Blockhead. |
