We deliberately picked this title as we really didn’t rush creating and polishing the EP. We’ve known each other for years but so much has happened to each of us in recent years, it wasn’t until now we felt ready to put this out and show the world what we’re capable of.

Channeling the influences of 5 individuals around the globe could be challenging, but not for this exceptional group of musicians bonded by mutual appreciation and love for music.
Mixed and mastered by Dani Munoz (who has worked with Thundercat), Taking Our Time is Android Ethics’ first step towards singularity. The goal is to create a global experience that transcends borders.
“When you’re a nomad, life brings you to a lot of unpredictable destinations. Following my inner musical compass led me to immerse myself in Bulgarian culture, returning over and over during the course of six years to make music with my friends in the capital city of Sofia. There, I was embraced by a group of talented musicians who share an affinity for soul and groove. They invited me to gigs all over the country, from festivals in the ancient city of Plovdiv to beachfront clubs on the Black Sea. In February 2020, five of us went on an excursion to the ski resort town of Bansko, to write and record the songs that would later comprise the Android Ethics EP. Created right before the pandemic lockdown, and completed gradually over the intervening years, these songs continue to bear relevance, speaking for a collective consciousness that is skeptical of convenience and yearning for balance. As the conditions of our current poly-crisis evolve, and as society negotiates a contract with the next technological revolution, we hope that this EP can shine a soulful, hopeful light on our collective challenges, for current and future generations to ponder and enjoy.“, Tien shares.
THE ARTIST
Android Ethics
Android Ethics’ story is anything, but linear. Faith is the only plausible way to explain the reason you’re experiencing the art of these 5 talented musicians. The pivotal moment that brought them together was a memorable journey in 2015 that brought LA-based singer/composer Tien Nguyen (AKA SAiGO) to Bulgaria back in 2015. Born in the mid-1980s in the US to a Vietnamese family, at the time Tien was working with Georgi Linev on Kan Wakan, and through live shows he crossed paths with Bojidar Vasilev (TromBobby), Petar Yotov (Peyotoff), Evden Dimitrov (EVDN.) and Rado Kazasov (RADO) who eventually became some of the most creative and forward-thinking artists in the local alternative/beat/r&b scene.
SAÍGO
Currently based in upstate New York, Tien (aka SAÍGO) is a modern-day troubadour sharing stories and perspectives gathered from a decade of nomadic musical life. He’s lived on five different continents and views himself as a worldwide ambassador for the underground alt-r&B scenes of Los Angeles, Sofia, and Southern Brazil.

TromBobby combines his long-time passion, the trombone, with peculiar beats for a truly unconventional and contemporary sound. Studied jazz trombone at Conservatorium van Amsterdam, his unique production style and live instrumentation brought him features on Spotify’s Orbit, Apple Music’s BEATstrumentals and TIDAL's Rising Deutschland and support on BBC Radio 1. Also, a winner of The Kount Challenge 2021.

Peyotoff
Peyotoff is the solo project of jazz-trained guitarist Petar Yotov. The producer blends his alluring neo-soul guitar style with future beats elements, instrumental hip hop and jazz all that through the prism of his own experiences. A groove-heavy, but soothing sounds for the soul.

EVDN. is a jazz bassist and experimental electronic musician from Bulgaria. He picked his first bass guitar at the age of 16 and that’s when the concept of EVDN. was born. Just like the music he’s creating, his journey feels cosmic, and both guiding and non-directional at the same time.
