I wanted to create a project that depicts various scenes of the city lifestyle. It can be both busy/playful but also warm & cozy, that’s why I named it City Wildlife.

We’re more than delighted to welcome another Japanese duo to our label – the talented producer/DJ Sachiho & keyboardist/composer Kanzas-City.
Their debut Stereofox release is called City Wildlife EP. It stems its title from the artists’ approach of using organic sounds & warm jazzy melodies juxtaposed with sound samples from the urban life & the classic NYC boom-bap aesthetic of the production.
Built like a journal, the 4 songs guide you through a day in the city:
9:00 am – “City Wildlife”
A busy morning with people and vehicles coming and going.
1:00 pm – “Urban Blend”
Finishing lunch and taking a break for a cup of coffee.
6:00 pm – “Dancing with the Moon”
My heart dances with the beautiful moon as I make my way home.
12:00 am – “Silent Night”
A more introspective time when the busy city has quieted down
City Wildlife EP blends jazz, chill beats & lofi, with more playful jazzhop tunes (“City Wildlife” & “Urban Blend”) & jazzy lofi songs (“Dancing With The Moon” & “Silent Night”). You can lose yourself in the warm piano & guitar melodies, vintage soul samples, and captivating beatwork.
“Dancing with the Moon” is the lead single from the EP. True to its title, the song carries romanticism, nostalgia & beauty. Built upon warm piano, gentle guitars & subtle vocal samples, the song is one of the finest jazzy lofi pieces you’ve heard.

Sachiho
Sachiho is a Tokyo-based DJ & producer, influenced by the 90s boom-bap sound. He often uses vintage sounds, city noises & jazzy harmonies in his music.
