“These tracks are made over the time period of 14 years. I made it around my second release in 2012 and never managed to finish it completely, but I’m glad I finally did. I made 20 Years around 5 years ago before the 20th anniversary with my then girlfriend, now wife, trying to capture the deep love I’ll always have for her.“

Having spent more than two decades shaping his craft within Berlin’s electronic scene, the German producer and DJ has gone on to perform at some of the world’s most revered events, from Burning Man to Fusion Festival and even All Day I Dream gatherings in different countries. Beyond his touring career, Powel’s productions have earned recognition from Spotify’s flagship organic house playlist, Orgánica, while his remix portfolio includes respected names such as Leftfield, Aparde, Hosini, and Lycoriscoris.
The evolution of his sound is apparent across 20 Years as he blends deep house with organica in a manner that is brimming with emotion. Powel teases the EP with the first single, “A Million Years”, an uplifting slow burner embellished with glossy pianos that’s tailor-made for euphoric moments on the dance floor with loved ones. While this release is musically opulent, it’s contrasted by the atmospheric, deep house charm of the second single, “Bring Me Water to Cool My Fever”. “Like A Bloodstain was originally made for my first album in 2020 (The Beauty of a Polaroid on All Day I Dream), but it fell victim to the “kill your darlings” process, as it didn’t make sense withe the other tracks together. And Bring Me Water was just the first improvisation on my then freshly tuned piano, which wasn’t meant to be a track in the first place, but slowly evolved into one.”, he elaborates/
