Powel
Powel has gained a reputation for dreamy, minimal electronic music that sits between deep house and alternative electronica. There’s so much levity and buoyancy in Powel’s music that you might be surprised he’s from a small town in East Germany.
Over 20 years of being on the road and all over Berlin’s club scene inform Powel’s tracks, remixes, and sets that all manage to tug at your heartstrings. When Powel began DJing in 2008, he drew inspiration from his indie, rock, and pop background, infusing his house sets with warmth, melody, and depth rather than darkness. Since then, he has toured extensively, performing at renowned festivals and clubs worldwide, including the iconic Robot Heart bus at Burning Man, Germany’s Fusion Festival, and All Day I Dream events across the globe. His musical output spans everything from after-hours club cuts to documentary film scores, and that genre-fluid approach ensures his work remains both expertly crafted and consistently surprising. Never one to fit the mold, he’s constantly exploring new collaborations and pushing his sound into fresh territory.
