“Japanese Lofi Hip Hop inspired by the story of Musashi.”
Leo Motta & Miyuki Kuzuoka
THE RELEASE
Brazillian music producers – Leo Motta & Miyuki Kuzuoka, join forces in a powerful collaboration to create the track “Ganryu Island” – a song inspired by Japanese traditions and the story of the famous samurai Miyamoto Musashi, who created his own fighting style known as Niten Ichi Ryu.
Historically, Ganryu Island was an island where the great Japanese samurai Miyamoto Musashi performed a famous duel. On the fighti day, Musashi did everything very calmly – he slept well, had breakfast, etc. while his opponent was already on the island waiting for him. After that, Musashi took a boat to the island, again he was very calm. After arriving on the island, he defeated his opponent with a single blow.
Musashi’s concept is at the core of our song – it starts very calmly, like the morning of the Samurai, there is a little break in the middle of the song, and then suddenly the beat comes in, it’s like that precise blow of Musashi against his opponent.
