British-Sri Lankan finger drummer and producer Gnarly returns to Stereofox Records with Odyssey EP – an electrifying collection of soulful chillhop instrumentals that marks a decade of personal and artistic growth.
Borrowing its title from the legendary Greek epic, Odyssey reflects the idea of a long, transformative journey. Nearly ten years after discovering finger drumming during one of the most challenging periods of her life, Gnarly looks back on the experiences that shaped her into the artist she is today. Apart from celebrating the destination, the EP also embraces the process itself – learning to adapt, grow through uncertainty, and find strength in moments beyond our control.
Built around Gnarly’s signature finger-drumming performances, Odyssey combines inventive sampling with live instrumentation, warm keys, soulful chops, and richly layered grooves.
