The Taiji EP is just the beginning of what I plan to be a long musical journey ahead. It showcases my love for the emotional, organic and ever evolving soundscape that is electronic music. These 4 tracks came about extremly naturally for me and I hope that is a feeling the listener can sense when playing this EP. I also think that this body of work can be felt on headphones alone or even in a club surrounded by friends dancing, and that’s the diversity I love about it.

Boyan’s musical journey has always been defined by two distinct yet interconnected sides. As an artist and music producer, he is deeply rooted in his passion for jazz, hip-hop, funk, and disco, genres that have shaped his identity and the name “Boyan” itself. This side of him represents a love for timeless grooves, intricate rhythms, and soulful melodies, all of which are central to his artistic expression.
However, there’s another side to him and everyone who knows him well, have seen that side. It emerged the moment he first encountered electronic music. Even before he knew what a DAW was or how to create music, the expansive world of electronic sounds captivated him. From trance and progressive trance to garage, 2-step, ambient, house, and drum & bass, the producer found inspiration in the diverse subgenres of electronic music, each offering unique elements that fueled his creative exploration.
In 2024, Boyan decided to give life to his long-held electronic passion with a new project called “Boyin.” The name, a play on the concept of yin and yang, perfectly encapsulates the duality within him. These two sides – his love for organic, groove-driven music and his fascination with electronic soundscapes—are vastly different yet inseparable. They sustain each other, allowing Boyan to maintain his creative energy.
Whenever one side begins to wane, he turns to the other, embarking on a completely different musical journey that reignites his passion.
