“Mean Something” is a reflection on the tension between ambition and authenticity, exploring the pressures of “making it” versus the importance of self-acceptance.
Inspired by the 00s UK alt-pop sound of artists like Lily Allen & Kate Nash, “Mean Something” blends warm production, playful keys & groovy drums with NAVENI’s frisky vocals & witty but painfully honest songwriting. The uplifting cinematic strings towards the end serve as the climax of the story & the jolly piano solo is the happy ending we all hope for.
