“I absolutely loved making this record. I had the pleasure to work with my friend Bart Wirtz on the saxophone and Samir Saif on trumpet to give these tracks a real jazz feel. All the drums are played on my jazz kit. For these tracks I was really inspired by the legend of jazz house music, St. Germain“

THE RELEASE
Alexander IV (aka Feiertag) tastefully blends polished grooves with sophistication – a quality that’s front and center in his latest release with Stereofox “Vanguard Groove”.
Features on a variety of key editorials across DSPs alongside airplay on Sirius XM and BBC Radio 6 reflect Alexander IV’s distinct flair and genre-blurring approach to dance music. This comes as no surprise considering that Joris Feiertag also is the drummer of Kraak & Smaak and has also built a reputation for crafting forward-thinking electronic music which has received support from the likes FIFA ’22.
On the jazz-infused singles “Vanguard Groove” and “Lost in the Valley” however, as Alexander IV he offers listeners nostalgic charm while delivering a vibrant, feel-good energy. Both tracks are rich with lofi warmth texturally, featuring dusty drum grooves, mellow keys, and subtle imperfections that give them an organic, human touch.
