Equipped with ethnic rhythms and lush dreamy textures, Skai Lounge is one of South Africa’s rising stars in the world of Electronic music. His music is a reflection of his African heritage, albeit weaved in with themes of Afrofuturism to create an otherworldly experience. He has remixed works for the likes of Yellowhouse (collaborations with ODESZA), and he has recently released on one of the biggest Afro House labels in the world, Mo Black, along with the popular Dutch label Sommersville. Skai Lounge brings a dreamy and alternative touch to the genre of Afrohouse, and his distinct sound makes him a one-of-a-kind artist with a bright future.

As a DJ, it’s Skai’s fiery, infectious energy that has catapulted him upward. He has shared the stage with iconic acts like RY X, Chris Luno, Francis Mercier, Bun Xapa, Coco & Breezy, Floyd Lavine, KIM SWIM, and many more. On his two European tours (Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Holland, Bulgaria), he had the opportunity to play alongside Carl Cox, MEDUZA, and more. The South African artist has made further contributions to the scene through his conceptual event series in Cape Town, “Hidden Paradise”, where he and his team throw secret raves in exotic locations – slowly becoming the Cercle of South Africa. It first started as a party, and now, it stands as a harmonious community.
