“Imagine an early Sunday morning: everything is still sleepy and quiet; someone in your backyard plays an old jazz vinyl; the sound goes via the speakers directly into your apartment and sets the mood for this early morning hour. If this mood would be a color, then blue in all its shades is the colour for me.”

THE RELEASE
Sep 30th - "Denim"
Oct 28th - Shades of Blue EP
We’re thrilled to welcome German producer and bassist FLKS to Stereofox Records with Shades of Blue EP – a collection of handmade lo-fi instrumentals steeped in soulful grooves, vintage textures, and understated warmth.
Inspired by the feeling of an early Sunday morning when the world is still quiet and a distant jazz record drifts through an open window, Shades of Blue translates that atmosphere into sound. Across the EP, FLKS blends soulful guitar lines, chilled chords, laid-back bass grooves, and subtly off-grid beats into a relaxed yet rhythmically engaging listening experience.
With over two decades of experience as a freelance bassist and sideman across hip-hop, electronic, and pop, FLKS brings a seasoned sense of groove and arrangement to his productions. His own instrumental work draws heavily from hip-hop and R&B, combining punchy beats, memorable melodies, and lush vintage sonics with the spontaneity and feel of a live musician.
