Nebulae Waves
Nebulae Waves is an electronic house project by Munich-based producer Ingolf Schapke, also widely known under his artist alias Living Room. A sound engineer, DJ, and producer with decades of musical experience, Schapke’s artistic language is shaped by classical training, deep studio craftsmanship, and a lifelong fascination with groove-driven music. He began producing electronic music in the late 1990s and founded Rockbox Studio in Munich in 2000 — a creative hub that soon became a meeting point for reggae and hip-hop artists, soundsystems and producers. His productions are marked by warmth, musicality and a refined sense for atmosphere. This became evident with the international success of his album Liquid Lounge (2006), followed by the highly anticipated Liquid Jazz (2007), which blended downbeat, jazz and electronic textures into a sophisticated sonic landscape. As a DJ, Ingolf has been active for more than two decades, consistently exploring the intersection of jazz-infused house music, organic grooves and soulful electronic textures. Together with saxophonist Max Merseny, he forms a deeply complementary musical partnership — a dialogue between electronic production and expressive live instrumentation. Under the Nebulae Waves project, these influences converge into a sound that is warm, refined and rhythmically alive.
