“With the Uptown Social Club EP, we wanted to create a sound that feels alive — warm, organic and full of light. Music that carries the spirit of summer, of movement and simple positivity. The idea was to keep it light and flowing, yet still sophisticated and deeply musical.
The EP draws inspiration from the soulful side of jazz house – the timeless grooves and warm musicality of artists like Joey Negro, Frankie Knuckles and St Germain. Their sound always had that beautiful balance between elegance and joy, something that feels equally at home on a dancefloor or in a laid-back listening environment.“

THE RELEASE
May 28th - "The Jazz Is Fine"
Jun 25th - Uptown Social Club EP
Uptown Social Club is a late-night conversation between rhythm and soul.
Uptown Social Club unfolds like a late-night conversation between jazz and house music. Warm grooves, shimmering chords, and playful rhythmic textures create a sonic space that feels both relaxed and vibrant.
The producers created songs that move effortlessly between lounge-inspired atmospheres and club-ready jazz house energy, drifting through subtle melodies and glowing harmonic layers. Their goal was to capture a certain cosmopolitan elegance in the music. A sound that feels at home in dimly lit cocktail bars, rooftop gatherings, and sophisticated dancefloors alike.
Created by Nebulae Waves, the collaborative project of producer Ingolf Schapke and saxophonist Max Merseny, the EP reflects their shared love for organic instrumentation, musical freedom, and groove-driven storytelling.
Uptown Social Club lives in the space between genres: positive, jazzy, vibey – and beautifully unconcerned with convention. It’s jazz house for after hours – refined, intimate, and effortlessly cool.
