Nawal chose her real name for her artist moniker, a tribute to her grandmother who shared the same name. Her grandmother, a poet, instilled in her a profound appreciation for the Arabic language’s richness and beauty. By incorporating her grandmother’s name into her music, Nawal honors her legacy and heritage.
Nawal started releasing her own music in 2020. Along the way, she’s experienced memorable moments, such as opening for Isaam Al Najjar in Toronto and participating in the Apple Watch Series 8 campaign in the MENA region in 2022.
“Ghost” with Ethan Mark is her debut release on Stereofox Records.
