This track was written between Jack (Papi Thereso) and I a few years back when I was living in Rotterdam. The beat came from an improvised jam, which we resampled and composed around. We spend most of our time together on stage rather than in the studio, so this was a fun and organic way to cook up an idea together.

THE RELEASE
The US/NL collective Soul Food Horns is back to Stereofox Records with another gem.
A perfect start of the year, just a couple of days into 2025, here comes “Haven’t Slept Since”, together with Dutch producer Papi Thereso (aka Jack Julian). It is a vibrant jazz-driven piece with a lot of groove & warmth, reminiscent of the likes of Blue Lab Beats or Butcher Brown.
Kicking off as an improvised jam, Soul Food Horns & Papi Thereso turned it into a marvelous jazzhop composition with bright keys, horns & flutes that are bound to leave you in a dream state, while nodding your head to the hip-hop rhythm.
