“When I started creating this song, it made me think of memories of my childhood playing around the street I grew up on. The street is a “cul de sac” which is a type of street with no outlet – just a little road with houses lining it and a circle at the end for cars to turn around in. My brother, friends, and I would skateboard, scooter, and ride bikes up and down the street. We had lemonade stands at the bottom of it and each year at Halloween hundreds of kids would come trick-or-treating. The song “Cul de Sac” is a reflection of those carefree moments.”

Houndtrack is an LA-based producer who opened for Medasin & Fakear last year. He is very much inspired by nature & nostalgic memories when making music – you can often hear the sounds of waves & crunching leaves, fused with synths & beats. “Cul de Sac”, his first release with Stereofox Records, tells a story about his childhood street, where all the kids used to skateboard, have lemonade stalls & had Halloween trick-or-treats. Simply a reflection of those carefree times.
