Welcoming Japanese producer Hitori to Stereofox Records with Rainlit Hours, a beautifully serene four-track collection of lo-fi beats.
Crafted like sonic sketches of rainy days, the EP captures their quiet, misty atmosphere through shimmering reflections of light, washed-out textures, and soft rhythms. Beneath the surface, Hitori’s gentle guitar melodies and warm synths explore the nostalgia and melancholy that often accompany these slower, more introspective moments.
Leading the release is “When It Rains”, setting the tone for the EP with its dreamy, rain-soaked atmosphere. The second single, “The Way We Were”, features Hitori’s long-time collaborator and friend, French guitarist and producer Gyûki, adding another layer of organic musicianship and magic to the project.

Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, Hitori is an independent producer crafting warm, understated music shaped by calm, nostalgia, and a subtle bittersweetness. Her inspiration comes from nature, quiet observation, and time spent alone in her own company. This sense of introspection is reflected in her artist name, “Hitori”, meaning “alone” in Japanese. Through her music, Hitori turns that solitude into something intimate, warm, and moving.
