Unknown Caller

Unknown Caller is a Brooklyn-based artist, singer, and producer who does dreamy, analog-tinged indie pop.

A true DIY artist, he writes, records and produces everything from his Brooklyn apartment, building a world inspired by Japanese city pop, yacht rock and bedroom pop.

Since his 2016 debut EP, Columns, Unknown Caller has evolved from lo-fi beats into danceable, hook-laced indie gems like “Borderline” and “See You Again,” sharing stages with Danz CM (fka Computer Magic) and FM Attack. His 2021 vaporwave project Midnight Deluxe, released via Business Casual, sold out its cassette run in its debut weekend and earned a Bandcamp feature. After dynamic performances across NYC and LA, he performed a series of DJ sets across Tokyo’s underground scene, including venues in Shibuya, Roppongi and Shinjuku.

Earlier in 2025, he released Hung Up, a collaborative EP with Melting Resonance – a nostalgic breakup record dressed in soft-focus guitars, warm basslines and missed connection voicemails. It quickly became his most popular release to date.

Unknown Caller has racked up over 3 million streams across platforms, earned editorial support from Spotify and Bandcamp, and hadairplay on BBC Radio and college stations like Radio K, KSYM and WMUA.
