AHNAMUSICA

AHNAMUSICA is the project of beatmaker, producer, MPC player, and DJ Taro Hayashi.

After beginning his musical journey as a drummer at age 14 and performing in various bands, Hayashi launched AHNAMUSICA in 2016. By 2020, he had established the signature lo-fi hip-hop sound that defines the project today.

Growing up surrounded by vinyl records, he developed a deep appreciation for their warmth and nostalgia – qualities that continue to shape his music. Blending jazzy textures, mellow grooves, and soothing atmospheres, AHNAMUSICA creates immersive soundscapes that feel both timeless and intimate.

Based in Paris from 2021 to 2024, Hayashi released both digital and physical projects through labels across the United States, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. His 2024 album BREATH MARK has accumulated more than 9 million streams on Spotify alone.

He has performed at events and beat showcases around the world, including a reception hosted at the LVMH Métiers d’Art Gallery by Louis Vuitton in Paris.

Since returning to Japan in 2025, Hayashi has continued to release new music and perform live, expanding his presence both domestically and internationally.
