“This project is inspired by the small fragments and fleeting feelings that exist within everyday life and the passage of time.”

THE RELEASE
Sep 8th - Quiet Motion EP
Japanese producer and MPC player Matsuyama returns to Stereofox Records with Quiet Motion EP – a four-track collection of groove-soaked instrumentals rooted in the timeless spirit of old-school hip-hop. Built on warm nostalgia, quiet reflection, and understated gratitude, the project explores the subtle rhythm of everyday life.
Rather than telling a story, Quiet Motion reflects on the passing of time – how places, emotions, and present moments gradually shift while quietly shaping who we become.
The instrumentals are united by classic boom-bap drums, fleeting vocal chops, deep bass grooves, hazy, melancholic textures, and an intimate, cinematic atmosphere. Leading the release is the double single “Familiar Places / Still Here”, offering a gentle introduction to Matsuyama’s reflective world, equally suited to late-night drives, chill evenings, and moments when the outside world fades into the background.
