Following a series of releases on Stereofox Records, another silent weekend and Komachi now come together for the first time on their new collaborative project, nichijo EP – an atmospheric, lo-fi release inspired by the beauty of everyday, simple moments.
Japan-based with Canadian roots, producer and multi-instrumentalist another silent weekend began his musical journey in 2017, adopting his alias from a lyric in “You Already Know” by Bombay Bicycle Club. Since then, he has developed a distinctive sound that blends warmth, nostalgia, and subtle rhythmic detail.
Japanese producer Komachi has been crafting lo-fi music since 2021, building on over two decades of experience in electronic music production. His dreamy, melodic approach has established him as a leading voice in Japan’s lo-fi scene. His latest EP, Streetlight Diaries, with trumpeter and producer Cvsket Pretty, was inspired by the rhythm of urban movement, unfolding like a personal journal written while wandering through a city.
Continuing to draw inspiration from their surrounding world, Nichijo is a five-track journey shaped by the beauty and joy found in small, everyday moments: care, play, and simply enjoying life with the people you love. Defined by soft piano melodies, laid-back beats, delicate guitar work, and a dreamy atmosphere, the EP creates a space of comfort and stillness, inviting listeners to slow down, let go of the day’s worries, and settle into something more present and meaningful.
Bringing together their distinct musical identities and a shared sensitivity for warmth and detail, another silent weekend and Komachi shape Nichijo into an immersive reflection on the beauty of everyday life.

another silent weekend began his journey in the world of music back in 2017, and by 2019, he had established the alias “Another Silent Weekend.” This name was inspired by a lyric from the song “You Already Know” by Bombay Bicycle Club. It was a Tumblr URL they had used during their teenage years, and he found it to be the perfect fit for the kind of music he aimed to create under this pseudonym.
