Translating a clear vision into music is never easy, so I was helped by many people along the way. Not in the sense that they directly edited the tracks, but through the inspiration I received from various artists and their works.
Among all those influences, I was able to include the pieces that stayed with me the most on this EP. I spent as much time on the mixing process as I did on editing, carefully refining the sound.

THE RELEASE
March 30th - Childhood Memories EP
Japanese producer & saxophonist robe marks his debut on Stereofox Records with Childhood Memories, a 4-track EP shaped by reflection, warmth, and the quiet clarity that comes with looking back. Drawing inspiration from sweet, pure moments of the past, the project captures nostalgia not as something distant or faded, but as something alive and glowing.
Built around expressive saxophone lines, lush keys, and live drums, Childhood Memories sits at the intersection of jazzhop and jazz fusion. Each track feels like a small vignette – from the groovy coziness of the opener “In Retrospect”, through the bright recollection of “Nostalgia”, the playful motion of “Bike Ride”, to the grounding, rooted warmth of “Family Tree”. The EP moves like memory itself: fluid and quietly powerful.
For robe, this release marks a careful and intentional step forward. Shaped not only by personal experiences but also by the inspiration drawn from other artists and creators, the EP reflects a deep attention to detail. Childhood Memories is a project that doesn’t chase nostalgia – it sits with it, listens closely, and turns it into something warm enough to share.
