These tracks capture experiences that affected me deeply and needed to be released so I could move on. A lot happened last year, and it reshaped me. This SEQUENCE is largely about love, relationships, fear, and letting go.

SEQUENCE 03 may be the final chapter. I work intuitively, and I can feel this cycle coming to a close. For now, I’m letting it end naturally – and staying open to whatever wants to emerge next.

THE RELEASE

Release Schedule: Feb 26th - ppl go
Mar 27th - done
June 1st - SEQUENCE 03 EP
Genres: R&B / Soul

Singer Leena and producer Kamen return with SEQUENCE 03 EP, the third and potentially final chapter in their long-running SEQUENCE series. Following SEQUENCE 01 (2020) and SEQUENCE 02 (2022), which earned support from Sofar Sounds Global, TIDAL, Wordplay Magazine, and more, the duo once again leans into intuition over expectation, delivering a body of work that feels deeply personal and deliberately unconfined.

“From the very beginning, the SEQUENCEs were meant to function like a diary. I’ve always been honest in my music and lyrics, but while creating them, I allow myself complete freedom – pouring my heart out without the need to follow a concept or structure. This openness is reflected in Kamen’s production as well – there’s no single genre, only feeling,” Leena shared.

SEQUENCE 03 functions like a journal in motion. Across six tracks, Leena and Kamen defy genre boundaries, moving fluidly between dark r&b, electro-pop, and drum ’n’ bass-influenced production. Kamen’s production mirrors Leena’s lyrical openness – textured, shape-shifting, and driven by feeling rather than formula, allowing each song to exist exactly as it needs to.

At its core, SEQUENCE 03 documents a period of transformation for Leena. Love, relationships, fear, trust, and letting go sit at the heart of the EP, capturing experiences that needed to be released in order to move forward.

There’s a sense of closure woven throughout – not forced, but felt. As Leena describes it, this volume may mark the natural end of the SEQUENCE cycle, leaving space for something new to emerge when the time is right.

The EP’s first single, “ppl go”, sets the emotional tone with Leena’s signature deep, shadowy r&b. Exploring self-betrayal in the name of people-pleasing, the track reflects on how boundaries ultimately reveal who is meant to stay. Its dark and punchy production and unwavering vocal delivery create a quiet tension – keeping the listener suspended, alert, and emotionally exposed.

With SEQUENCE 03, Leena & Kamen don’t offer answers – they offer honesty. It’s a closing chapter that doesn’t demand resolution, only recognition of what’s been felt, lived, and finally let go.
