“First light” comes from loading a roll of film into a camera. When the film is exposed, you have to take a few shots to wind it forward. Those first photos are often partly burned by light, mixed with whatever the camera happened to be pointed at. They’re usually unintentional, but interesting, because there wasn’t much thought behind them.
I approached the music for this EP the same way, with an open mind, no clear direction, and no expectations for what the tracks needed to become

THE RELEASE
Mar 5th - Soft Focus (w/ L E F)
Apr 2nd - First Light EP
Swedish producer Oh, My. returns to Stereofox Records with his first EP on the label – First Light, a textured and emotionally driven project. Blending soft horn lines, warm pads, subtle sampling, and hip-hop-inspired drum grooves, the EP continues his signature dreamy and hazy take on chillhop.
The EP features two collaborators who expand its sonic palette while staying true to its vision: Flitz&Suppe (who’s also previously released on Stereofox) on “Flou”, and South African producer L E F on “Soft Focus”.
Conceptually, First Light draws inspiration from analogue photography – specifically, the first frames shot when loading a new roll of film. These images are often unpredictable: partially exposed, blurred, sometimes lost altogether, sometimes unexpectedly beautiful. That sense of imperfection and in-between moments is mirrored in the music, which captures emotions before they fully settle into clarity. Much like the EP’s visual identity, the music embraces softness, dreaminess, and quiet honesty.
With First Light, Oh, My. delivers a release that rewards stillness and close listening – a collection of fleeting moments, gently illuminated before they fade.
