Be Honest is an EP that expresses my own hesitations about my obsession. I have had instinctive feelings that I thought were good, but after a while I realized that they were not, or I felt that I was overthinking things, and these feelings and thoughts apply not only to Refeeld’s own musicality, but also to the choices I have to make in my daily life. I tried to capture all this in a 4-track EP. The title of the project is a statement against such hesitations and thoughts.

The Japanese producer & multi-instrumentalist Refeeld makes a solo debut on Stereofox Records with a new EP.
After his successful collaborations with yuhei miura, Kazuki Isogai, Aphrow, Komachi & Kloetie (and a remix of Imagiro’s “Until I’m Home”), the Tokyo artist shares Be Honest. The 4-track EP carries his well-known soft guitar & piano melodies, and dusty lofi beats.
The project explores themes like doubt & over-thinking and aims to offer warmth & consolation – that each person goes through these thoughts & feelings.
The artwork has a dream-like feel which is related to the track names, too. “If I were to compare this EP to the real world, it would be like driving to an unknown place I’ve never been to and getting lost in that vast and unknown,” he explains.

Refeeld is one of Japan’s most prominent contemporary producers crafting beautiful piano & guitar melodies on top of chilled beats. He's worked with renowned Tokyo guitarist Kazuki Isogai & producer yuhei miura, as well as maeshima soshi, Project AER, mell-ø, C4C & more. In 2021 Refeeld was among the winners of a remix competition of imagiro’s “Until I’m Home”.
