Charlie is the eponymous project of rising songwriter and producer Charlie Kurata, also known as Duumu. What originated as a side project grew to become a recognisable name in the scene and one heavily associated with Charlie’s aforementioned successful electronic alias.
With five albums and a handful of singles under his belt, Charlie’s discography is rich and diverse, drawing influence from lo-fi and beats culture, as well as indie pop and ambient. His work has attracted support from the likes of San Holo who featured some tracks in multiple bitbird Radio shows, as well as the popular German promotional network and record label Majestic Casual, where Charlie released ‘Fauvette’ which has already amassed over a million streams in under half a year.
“Long Weekend” is Charlie’s first release on Stereofox Records.
